Le Petit Bateau is an art collective formed by artists from all around the world, located in the famous Eastern suburbs of Sydney. We created and designed the concept of The Arc for the Mardi Gras Parade.

 

Mardi Gras is about being inclusive, spreading equal love to everyone, and that was what The Arc represented.

It has been built to remind us that we are all in the same boat.

 

Besides the message of inclusivity, we worked with the Pyrmont Sailing Club collecting old pieces of boats, re-used materials, and ocean trash to spread consciousness about the life and care of our oceans.

Not only the float was made out of recycled materials, but the performers who paraded were also invited to create unique pieces out of trash they collected, to inspire people that everything can be up-cycle.
