One year in the making. Fifty volunteers. Countless ideas worth spreading 💚
 

Audience: A diverse, forward-thinking community of changemakers, creatives, entrepreneurs, and citizens.

Campaign Concept: As Amsterdam celebrates its 750th anniversary, TEDxAmsterdam invites you to look not only back... but also forward.

“Amsterdam Reimagined” is a call to rethink the city’s identity, systems, and spirit. What would Amsterdam look like if we dared to redesign it - more inclusive, sustainable, connected, and future-facing?

 

TEDxAmsterdam 2025 becomes a stage for bold ideas, civic imagination, and changemakers, from grassroots to global, who challenge how we live, move, work, and connect. It’s not about utopia, but about honest, hopeful reimaginings.

The campaign centers on imagination, civic responsibility, and storytelling to inspire change that feels grounded, urgent, and human.

Visual Identity Strategy:
 

  • The Co-Creative X: The visual identity reinterprets the TEDx "X" as a living, moving element, explicitly signaling that Amsterdam’s future is not something to watch, but to co-create.

  • Engagement through Ambiguity: We utilized blurred, puzzle-like compositions that invite the audience to mentally fill in the gaps, making them active participants in the reimagining process.

  • Dynamic Storytelling: Incorporated motion imagery to reflect the city’s constant transformation and used bold typography for immediate impact and accessibility.
